Girl About Town

I love the energy that the city brings. The noise, the people, and with each person…the stories they bring. You can go from one location to another and the ambiance can vary dramatically depending on so many little factors. The music, temperature, lighting ~everything plays a part in the way we feel. Exterior factors are something you cannot control, something you can control, is the way you feel as soon as you step out of your front door; your style.

I love quaint and homey coffee shops!

For a day of hopping around town, I know I want to be comfortable yet stylish and sexy-chic! I cannot stress enough how important shoes are! These angular “Amber Peep-Toe Booties” by Vince Camuto have got to be one of my favorites! The cone heel makes me feel stable and comfortable. The leather is so soft and malleable, and I love the sleek peep toe and the alluring front cut out. These booties meet all the criteria.

Without hesitation, I slipped on this black sheer silk chiffon top by Elizabeth and James. I was attracted to how lightweight it was and it’s semi-fitted style made it ideal for a busy day! The silk chiffon felt so good on this cloudy yet warm day.

As the evening rolled in, I wanted to make sure I stayed warm. I didn’t want to change up my entire look so I just grabbed a luxe sweatshirt by Kora Rae. I wanted the look to remain casual but I didn’t want the style to suffer. This sweatshirt was perfect! This sweater is so fuzzy and warm but it also has a luxe element to it becuase of the organza panel in the front. This sweatshirt truly makes me feel pampered!

And how elegant are these stylish jogger pants by BCBGeneration!? The elastic waistband keeps me confortable, the material keeps me cool and the look is perfectly urban-chic.

As you know, I am an addict of the Ray-Ban Clubmasters. The solid mirror tinted lenses on these awesome silver aluminum frames really top off this look! And one should never forget about accessories! I felt like this necklace resembled tiger teeth, lol! I couldn’t pass it up! The necklace is from Express and the earrings are hoop earings that I also purchased at Express.

Tired of too much confort?? Let’s put on some 5 inch heels and hit the town instead! My next look is bold and daring. You have to have a little fun sometimes :) I found this extremely unique crop top by Chelsea and Violet. The colors on this top are so vibrant and the texture is exquisite. Even though there is a lot going on with this top, I still decided to add a necklace to it for a little added detail. This necklace is the “Station Necklace” by House of Harlow and the bracelet is called King Tut by Henry Bendel.

Shirt Detail

The way that I toned this colorful top down was by pairing it with a black pencil skirt. You can never go wrong with that! I love the high waist on this skirt! It subdues the sexiness, I am trying to portray a sexy yet refined look.

The skirt has a button slit in the back so you can determine how high or low you would like the slit to be which is excellent! I like choices! A high slit is ideal for a night around the city. It is not only provocative but it is also practical for moving comfortably.

And last but never least, the shoes and purse! These patent leather platforms by Jessica Simpson have a snakeskin texture to them. I really wanted an adventurous shoe with this outfit since the top is so uniquely eclectic. I also wanted a really high heel since the skirt goes below the knee. The purse is a quilted bag by DKNY. Super chic, super awesome :)
